EMMA Eurofinals and CarMediaWorld at Customized Salzburg

For more than ten years, the car media community has gathered at the Salzburg Exhibition Center for their season kick-off to celebrate their passion for audiophile, multimedia, and dB-loaded automobile artworks. For the 2025 edition, Salzburg‘s Exhibition Center was dedicated to automobile sound and infotainment for one exciting May-weekend.

While leading brands showcased their innovations at CarMediaWorld, a lively and exciting atmosphere prevailed around the competition vehicles of the 218 EMMA Eurofinalists from 23 nations. Over the three days of the Eurofinals, the EMMA jury, most of whom had just been newly or re-certified as head judges, logged plenty of kilometers on their pedometers and enjoyed superb sound impressions on their ears. All in search of the best of the best EMMA sound vehicles in Europe. The longest trip this time was made by a Team from Kazakhstan, which drove over 6500 Kilometers to perform in Salzburg.

As usual, there was a large crowd around the sound pressure area in Hall 1, where, as always, plenty of dB were honored with thunderous applause. This time a new record was reached by the Team Rautama from Finland who attained 172,5 dB on the measurement.

One of the event-highlights this year was the party, which took place on Saturday evening again after years and featured not only the traditional international culinary but also live music from the band Deephreez, known from the EMMA competition tracks. All 1000 Tickets for the Party were sold out quickly, and so some party people unfortunately couldn’t join the get-together this year.

The awards ceremony, held in front of the banners of event sponsors ESX, Ground Zero, and Musway, once again provided some surprises. In the championship rankings, Germany and the UK were tops of the list. But especially newcomers among the champions, such as those from Lithuania, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine, also caused excitement.

This year’s industry event was once again peppered with the tuning spectacle “Customized,” managed by the Salzburg Exhibition Center. And while car media enthusiasts cranked up volume knobs, adjusted frequencies and battled for European Championship titles, the tuning scene tweaked wheel wrenches and stepped on the accelerator.

In short: On Sunday a great weekend packed with horsepower and thrilling sound-experiences has come to an end, which already awakens appetite for the next edition 27 – 29 March 2026. Congratulations to all champions and vice-champions, and a big thank you to all sponsors and exhibitors as well as the international EMMA Team.
