The EMMA Arabia Finals of the Season 2014/2015 took place at Yas Marina Circuit – the Formula 1 Race Track of Abu Dhabi. For the first time Sound Judge Norbert Tyka as well as Ramona Pitschuch from Germany visited EMMA Arabia to share their experiences with the organization team of EMMA in Arabia, the Judges and of course the competitors. The feedback was appreciated and Norbert “Nobbi” Tyka was very busy by answering all questions and giving useful tips to everybody.
Competitors had the chance to compete in the formats Sound Quality Advanced, Master, Expert as well as ESPL, Racing & ESQL, which are in fact very popular categories in Arabia. The Judging went on the whole day from morning 09:00 until evening 08:00. The temperature went up to almost 38 °C that day so that especially the Europeans had to sweat a lot 🙂
The ceremony started at 09:00 in the evening when the sun was already down and temperature began to feel “normal”. Moderated by Thierry Gaye competitors received their trophies. Furthermore, the sponsors of EMMA Arabia donated some cool car audio prizes for all the award winners. Very special in Arabia is the fact that not the competitor which was winning at the final competition is champion of the season as the points of all competitions of the season had been counted to find out who is the champion.
