With no fewer than 45 registrations, we already knew in advance that it would be a busy day. Fortunately, the preparations, as we have come to expect, were once again excellently organized by Angel. All score sheets were neatly sorted and ready, allowing registration to start right on time. Despite the fog, all participants also managed to find their way to BJ Electronics in good time.
Following the judges’ and participants’ briefing, the evaluations began exactly according to schedule. A special word of thanks goes to the German judges who came to support us. Thanks to the efforts of Robin, Philipp, Norbert, and Nikolaus, we were able to use double judging in the SQ categories. Many thanks for that!
Of course, we would also like to thank our own judges. Without their enthusiasm, expertise, and voluntary commitment, an event such as the EMMA Benelux Finals would simply not be possible. Just like their German colleagues, they dedicate their free time to provide participants with fair, professional, and valuable feedback, making them an indispensable part of our competitions. Thank you for your dedication, involvement, and passion for the hobby!
As the morning progressed, the fog fortunately cleared, making way for a pleasant autumn sun. This created a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere in which knowledge, experiences, and enthusiasm for the hobby were freely shared. We were also pleased to welcome competitors from Germany and England once again. It is always great to have an international field of participants.
BJ-Electronics had provided chilled refreshments and plenty of tasty treats. Unfortunately, the operator of the food truck reported sick, which meant that an alternative had to be arranged at the last minute. The local pizza baker will undoubtedly look back on this day with satisfaction, as dozens of pizzas were delivered to provide both participants and judges with a delicious lunch.
The judging process also ran smoothly, allowing the back-office team to work at a relaxed pace. Carel and Angel were assisted by Christin from Germany, for which we are equally grateful. Thanks to their combined efforts, everything was processed on time, enabling the awards ceremony to begin at 4:30 PM.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to BJ-Electronics for making their facilities and grounds available to us. Without their hospitality, organizing this final event would not have been possible.
