After an – in every respect – outstandingly hot summer 2015 the EMMA Team and competitors had to experience the German Finals as a true “end of season”. 8° degrees Celsius and a lot of rain were not the conditions for this year’s final Open Air Event. Nevertheless: The EMMA community made this weekend as cool and funny as possible. On the day before the Finals the last Pre-Event, the so called “Cars´n Beats” took place at the same location – a very hip drive in Cinema close to the Berlin Airport. The Saturday already had an international touch with competitors from the UK, the Netherlands and Austria. More than 50 cars came to this last challenge before the final combat. Saturay evening the Bärliner Autokino showed a movie so all competitors could see if their cars work also with movie sound. After the movie the award ceremony took place. The finals itself didn´t bring too many surprises except the fact that the new Format ESQL now starts to become more popular in Germany. The ceremony had to be underneath the EMMA gazebos as the weather did not really show it´s best attitude. Thanks to the ponsors from German Maestro, HiFonics and ESX as well as to the international team which did a fast and solid job so everything was finished at 18°°. Most of the qualified competitors already confirmed that they are planning to attend the next Eurofinals in Salzburg in March 2016.
