International EMMA Competition at Tuningdays4All (EMMA Benelux)

On Saturday, August 29, EMMA Benelux hosted an international competition during Tuningdays4All, organized by Dutch Tuning Events. The event took place at a unique venue located on the site of a former power plant, providing a distinctive backdrop for a great day of car audio competition.

Early in the morning, both the Dutch Tuning Events crew and the EMMA staff were already on site to prepare everything for the participants. Thanks to the efficient setup, competitors were able to enter the venue even earlier than originally scheduled.

The event attracted competitors from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England, and even Romania, creating a truly international atmosphere. This diverse mix of participants contributed to an enjoyable and friendly environment throughout the day.

The competition attracted a strong international field of competitors. Enthusiasts from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England, and even Romania made their way to the event. With 33 competitors, we can be very satisfied with the turnout, especially considering that another competition was being held in Germany on the same day.

One of the highlights of the event was the number of newcomers. We welcomed several first-time competitors in the Entry classes, as well as a number of participants in ESQL Inside. Seeing new enthusiasts join the EMMA family is always encouraging and a positive sign for the future of our hobby. There was ample opportunity to provide these participants with detailed explanations and help them become familiar with the various competition disciplines and judging criteria.

As there was only one competitor in a class within both the Skilled and Master categories, the organization decided to create an overall ranking for these participants. This allowed for a sporting comparison and added competition. To ensure the fairest possible evaluation, all participants involved were judged by the same judge. For qualification points and the official results, however, each competitor’s result within their own class remains fully valid. This solution was received very positively by the participants concerned. In addition, visitors participating in the tuning event were offered free measurements using their own music.

Thanks to an experienced and professional judging team, the evaluations were completed efficiently, allowing the awards ceremony to take place as early as 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, the rain arrived a little sooner than forecast, causing the ceremony to be quite literally dampened by the weather.

EMMA Benelux would like to thank our sponsors, our competitors, visitors, judges, staff members, and of course Dutch Tuning Events for their hospitality and excellent organization. We look back on a successful, enjoyable, and international event and look forward to welcoming everyone again at our future competitions.

On September 13, we will be guests at Fuerza Customs in Heusden-Zolder. We hope to welcome many familiar faces as well as new participants once again.
