It almost felt like a little European final, this event at Audiotec Fischer´s homebase in Schmallenberg. With so many international guests, no one had really expected it. Participants from eight nations came together in fair competition to have their sound systems evaluated by the EMMA judges. The weather cooperated too; although the bright sunshine was sometimes interrupted by short showers, it was bearable for everyone present. A food truck was ready at lunchtime to treat all hungry guests to freshly grilled burgers. In the evening, the Audiotec Fischer team fired up their own grill to satisfy the appetite of the remaining guests. Following Sauerland tradition, plenty of local beer was of course served.
During the day, interested visitors could tour the recently expanded premium manufacturer. Company boss Julian Fischer personally showed the attendees the state-of-the-art facilities used to produce the well-known brands Brax, Helix, and Match. As announced, the EMMA team finished the evaluations around 4:00 PM and was shortly afterward ready for the upcoming awards ceremony, which ended up being slightly delayed due to some difficulties. In the evening, many satisfied participants could be seen, and there were even a few surprise winners. In short, it was a great event, and we hope for a repeat next year. So now there is only one event left, at Jürgen Fischers Audio Shop near Heilbronn before the national finals at the Automechanika in Frankfurt will finalize this exiting season.
