It started years ago with a tent pavilion…
…and ended up on a huge fairground! After an incredible number of 2.200 tuning vehicles from 10 nations conquered the Rockford Fosgate Tuning Day in 2013, the organizers decided to move the venue to a place with more space and convenience, which was decided to be the Karlsruhe Fairground. This modern exhibition site turned out to be the perfect place to host a huge stage and a gigantic number of international tuning aficionados with their artwork on four wheels.
On July 26th it quickly turned out that the three Tuning Day organizers made a wise decision: More than 3000 registered tuning vehicles and more than 7000 visitors flocked on Karlsruhe’s 100,000 sqm showground and enjoyed a thrilling stage program surrounded by show & shine spectacles, sexy car wash, low-rider show, club area, dealer area with accessories, fan ware and more. As a special highlight the original Bumblebee from the German TRANSFORMERS 4 Premiere in Berlin roared through the exhibition area and was available for photo shootings.
The cult brand Rockford Fosgate was again main sponsor of this year’s Tuning Day. According to the slogan “Car Audio for Fanatics” the U.S. Car HiFi legend once more proved with hot demo cars, a skilled team of specialists and latest product highlights that this brand sure is the cradle of XXL car audio performance.
Members of the Rockford Team have also demonstrated that real car audio fanatics can do XXL sound quality and sound pressure at the EMMA ESQL competition: Rockford Fosgate competition cars not only produced up to 151 dB sound pressure, but also collected a great deal of Sound Quality points.
Comprehensive space at the exhibition area was provided for the EMMA Sound Off. The situation in terms of noise level provided best conditions for a successful Sound Quality competition. Yet, for next time, being a little closer to the show happening would certainly be a plus point for the EMMA Community.
Around 40 EMMA competition vehicles gathered at perfect summer weather at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre to participate in various competitive classes in the Sound Quality category, and were evaluated by the team of EMMA judges. In order to motivate beginners, there was again offered a sound quality entry-level to newcomers according to the motto: “Find out how your car sounds and start your Sound Off career “, the EMMA contest was perfect for those who have not yet had any experience in EMMA sound competitions.
Our resume: By moving into the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre the event has again gained attraction. EMMA will be back again next year – perhaps a little closer to the action and with more spontaneous participation of those who have upgraded their tuning vehicle in terms of Car Audio & Entertainment. That’s for sure: Some do not know yet how excellent their media system really is!
