The EMMA and the Salzburg Fair management have to announce that they have to cancel the April Tuning and Lifestyle Fair with CarMediaWorld and EMMA European Finals. The ongoing restrictions on public life require the event to be postponed, which will now have its debut from April 29 – May 1, 2022. Nevertheless, there is still a weekend event planned for this summer – this so called “Customized Light” is scheduled for the weekend of 19/20. June 2021. Depending of the pandemic situation during the summer months, EMMA is planning to carry out an international sound off in this context.
As an alternative date for the canceled 2019/20 European final, EMMA targeted a long weekend from 14. -18. September. Automechanika 2021 in Frankfurt is planned to host the event. The EMMA team is currently discussing its plans with the Automechanika management at Messe Frankfurt. In April, commitments on this case can be made and information can be passed on.
In March / April the new jubilee competition music will be launched together with the update of the EMMA competition rule book. For the first time all titles will be offered in high-resolution format, from 2022 they will also be used in all competition classes. This also means that after 20 years the conventional EMMA competition CD will be replaced by a more contemporary music format. In keeping with the times, the titles are now only offered digitally and can be downloaded from the official EMMA Webshop or purchased as a package on a USB stick, which also includes the rulebook. In order to avoid illegal copies, the competitor must in future be able to prove that the music titles were legally acquired.
