The second stage of the EMMA Asia Finals 2014 took place at the Philippines in Cebu as well as in Manila. The stage in Cebu was only for ESQL cars. So when the Judge Team fly over to Manila ESQL Specialist Jhino Bhuksasri was flying to Cebu to Judge the ESQL Cars over there, which were offering a great show at time square. In Manila the Sound Quality classes have been judged.
The competition in Manila took place in Alabang. Unfortunately, the location had to be changed one week before because the former locations was flooded a few days before. Nevertheless, the cars found the way to Alabang to be judged by the international Judge Team, which had to get used to the very hot and humid weather. The temperature difference between Japan and Philippines is around 20 to 25 degrees what was not so easy to handle for the whole team. Especially the European Judges from Norway, Germany and Russia found the weather “a bit weired”. Beside the EMMA CD, Rulebook and Judgebook their most important tool for the competition was a towel to wipe away the water in their faces 🙂 Hopefully they get used to it soon because also in the upcoming stages not only the weather is going to be hot!

It is always great to see that we have so wonderful persons in our EMMA family all over the world. Tomorrow the EMMA team is flying to the next stage China. Beside the Asia Finals stage there they are also going to be part of the national Chinese finals, which is going to happen the day before.
