EMMA Finland has now 20 judges

EMMA Judge training in Finland was a two day course on the second weekend of April at Kalliojärven viihdekeskus. This year there were 18 participants present. Most of the participants were old judges but there were also some new faces joining the judge team this year with the youngest one being only 14 years old. It’s good to get an early start on judging.

On Saturday morning International Head Judge Jami Skou introduced the new CD and the Multimedia DVD to the trainees. After this International HJ Antero Kölli explained the categories and classes for 2014 and the judging procedure for competition formats ESPL, ESQL and Racing. After a theoretical presentation of installation judging the trainees were split to small groups. In small groups everyone got to do SQ judging and installation judging guided by the Head Judges. Everyone also had the possibility to try ESPL measurement. On Saturday the training went on long into the evening and on Sunday morning it was continued. On Sunday afternoon everyone had done all the judgings and it was time for the certificate ceremony. Now EMMA Finland has a team of 20 judges to start the new competition season on May 3. at Drift Park Pesämäki.
